Does the exclusion in Valencia change anything for Piquet ?

Post

Grosjean was supposed to take Piquet's seat in Spain. As Renault isn't going ( so far ) in Spain, would Romain drive in Belgium ??

Regardless of Valencia, Piquet is toast. He and his dad had a major falling-out with Flavio. Piquet's last ride in a Renault was Hungary.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.

Who cares, NP Jr just does not have "it"... but neiher does Grojan in my view, di Resta is the best available out there.

I don't think so. If Flavio wanted to get rid of him after Hungary he still can do it. Just a race later as they are currently still suspended. And I guess his performance won't improve till Valencia.

Piquet should go. For more that one and a half seasons in F1 he has not shown any signs of improvement IMO.

Oh come on now...last season, he was a hazard to himself and others. This season, just the car.

Seriously, though, by this point last season, he had 6 retirements. This season, only two. That being said, however, his finishing positions averaged to about 8th place last season, and although he's finished more consistently this season, it's been consistently worse, averaging 13th place.

So he doesn't crash out as often, but he also isn't bringing any points in.

It was a good run, but I think his potential at Renault has been explored as fully as warranted by now.
