I think we'll see quite aggressive slides on the engine cover between the massive wall and the engine cover proper. Based on what? It was not an accident the previous two cars were aerodynamically efficient. It's part of their philosophy. I'd be very surprised if this car wasn't less draggy than RB19.

I have linked this video before. I think this is the best video to see the inlet. Pause at 17 sec and move the video a bit back and forth. The dark patch is the inlet.
To me all signs point to a low drag ethos, even moreso than '22 & '23.
Might be possible on the shoulders but wouldn't be legal in the main waterslide/gulley due to the legality box for the louvers which is pretty high up at its lowest face nor does it rise up to the top of the engine cover which might also preclude louvers in the shoulder valleys/waterslides, whatever we're calling them. Something like this where your cooling outlets are in blue. But potentially a more aggressive downwash in the channel too. Not to mention my engine cover is enormous in comparison etc.etc. You'll have to forgive the sloppy 5 minute CAD job, but I think it illustrates the point.

Aside regarding RB20 generally: they flipped the sidepod inlet 180*, added waterslides and W14 engine cover shoulders, yet many incl. myself were expecting a conservative evolution of the RB19, and Newey even mentioned they may have been to too timid, yet this seems not to be the case. This may point to the RB19 being more of a RB18B as some have surmised, which suggests the RB18 line, as good as it was, wasn't apparently the optimal form for the '22 aero regs while all the while suggesting that it was. Will the RB20 philosophy be better than the RB18 philosophy? Time will tell.

Tbh in this video I can see vertical line there. For me it's visible from 0:10 to 0:13. If I had to bet I would bet that RB20 will have an S-duct
