That's the real key. The last two cars had no problem getting 100% of its performance over a lap.

Can the SF-24 produce the downforce reliably, in different conditions, on different tires, at higher fuel weights? That remains to be seen.

If so, race pace will be dramatically improved.

Yes, sorry everyone for the confusion because of 1s said by Paddy Lowe which was true for the Mercedes in 2010. Didn’t know there was such a big difference between those cars and the current generation.

We don't know how much a loss of windtunnel time could hurt Ferrari, compared to a different team. We don't even know that having extra money would benefit Ferrari. It never benefitted them from 2010-2020.

Literally just brake the rules till the cost of fixing the car is recouped and see how far they go punishing Ferrari if they dare. If I were in charge at Ferrari it would be full budget and I wouldn't even spend 2 minutes worried about it, they would be in the right and it's just embarrassing for FIA.

Likewise we don't know how much it will benefit them. Maybe Ferrari are now being more efficient.

The shakedown video on the launch day had the car running low and sparking. But looks like they raised the car for filming day and are not running it close to the ground. There is no sparking.

Yep, all speculation really but watching those clips I can't help but get the sense that the SF24 has improved traction out of the corners.

This is the most like for like comparison you'll ever get in a real life scenario.

Same driver, both on demo tyres, on the same circuit around a similar time of day, both taken from very similar angles & both are with comparable wing levels. Sure there are other unknown variables but were not conducting science here, as with everything in launch season it is mostly trying to make educated guesses.

The most crucial that is a resurfaced track this year, put all the comparisons to rest.
