This ties in with Harmann's comment about minimizing the cooling of the exhaust piping.Blackout wrote: ↑10 Feb 2024, 15:55Actually you can see the exhaust pipe plunging directly towards the engine here (top left), while it went upwards in '22... so yes the '24 pipe must be straighter to reduce losses & maximize power, & it must pass below the modified & more forward suspension assembly* (blue)...

It's a quick and exaggerated sketch to underline the differences, so it's not meant to be precise.Farnborough wrote: ↑10 Feb 2024, 16:57The bottom two images have the exhaust placed exactly central to engine crankshaft location, clutch and gearbox primary shafts always exist in that position.
I don't think that extrapolation can be relied upon to show anything tangible.
Was just about to say that, they do, perhaps Mac`s sidepods from then would work now?K1Plus wrote: ↑10 Feb 2024, 15:31They look like McLaren L shaped2011 sidepods, albeit inverted and mixed with a RB19 style letterbox.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑10 Feb 2024, 15:27Closer view I found on Twitter

Is this one Alpine ? It looks like Ferrari installation....impressive non the less and illustrative of just how tightly packed the suspension is in there.Blackout wrote: ↑18 Feb 2024, 13:58AMuS says "The new chassis & gearbox are cut in a V-shape at the bottom, the monocoque is longer, & the gbox is shorter"
I dont know what they mean for the monocoque "V", but regarding the gbox, maybe they mean Alpine narrowed it down like some recent Ferrari & RB gbox casings...
