I only had a look at live timing, and except for the fastest lap I saw laps of like 2:35 and thought there was a freak rainstorm or something

No in testing Max was regularly over 310 km/h on quali sims. It was long runs <300kph

Some of these comments are becoming ridiculous now. No one is doubting Redbull's clear advantage but there's no need to overplay it. A driver doesn't need to be sawing away at the wheels to show he's pushing if the car is well balanced. There's no reason for a racing driver not to be pushing on the first weekend of the season. Come on!

A driver doesn't need to be sawing away at the wheels to show he's pushing if the car is well balanced. There's no reason for a racing driver not to be pushing on the first weekend of the season. Max never sandbags. He’s made a name for himself for always being on it since the first lap of fp1 til the last lap of the weekend.

Yea after Toto's comments about not giving Lewis a longer contract because they didnt want to lose Kimi he's under a lot of pressure, everyone is going to be hyper-focusing on his performances now
