Balance of the car seems a little too on the nose right now
That is good, you want the car to be on the nose early so when grip is increased in the afternoon and track is more representative it should have a good balance

Now the car has still some weaknesses the Team is working on to improve. According to Formu1a.uno information there is a huge bodywork upgrade running in the wind tunnel right now that should be ready at least for Imola.

Interesting. Imola is race 7. Will they do anything before then? Mclaren probably will jump them in Japan if they aren't updating until then.
We don’t even know the gap between teams yet, seems premature to say McL is going to gap them in Japan. I prefer Ferrari followed their process and got comfortable and consistent with it. I don’t need 6 different floors in testing like in 2023.
Totally agree

Also one should remember that at the start of 2022 they weren’t updating car so much yet performances came just for better car understanding each race

Looks like Ferrari and Red Bull making their soft tire runs on reduced power.

Also improving on the second attempt, which is a bit unusual for a track like Bahrain

Anyone know how the long runs are looking?

Looking at the onboards, the car definitely looks more "pointy" than the SF-23 especially in T11 and T13.

Max fastest even though historically RB has run with less fuel than Ferrari in FP2

Everyone's program are in perfect sync, Hamilton, Leclerc and Verstappen dropping into mid 40s in the same lap lol

Look about the same as Mercedes, McLaren, and Aston.

Max clearly out in front on these runs.

I'd say that's a win, considering that softs are apparently a weakness.

Max is consistently in the 1:36.5s. Rest are about 3-4 tenths slower and more towards the higher 1:36s and even dipping into the 1:37s.

Yep, C3s for everybody.
Sainz started off quick. I guess they swapped their programs for FP2, they seem to be doing this thing where one drivers starts slow and the other starts pushing.
