For me it has to be Nakajima. Look at the points difference between him and Rosberg, its obvious the car is could enough for consistant points finish...
I'd agree with Nakajima, although I think its pretty much a forgone conclusion now that Hulkenburg is going to take his seat after lots of Willams tests and a very good GP2 campaign.
As a Mclaren fan, I'd like to see someone else take Kovalainen's seat too... possibly Kubica as he'll be free next year.
Not because of age, but because he's not extracting the most out of the current car. Button has 26 more points, in the same car.
And if Barrichello can't use his extensive relationship with Ross Brawn work to his advantage then he has no hope anymore. Although this would be the reason why Brawn wouldn't sack him mid-season.
And his bitchiness is getting old, I sure as hell wouldn't want to deal with him.
Is Williams on Toyota engines next year? If the answer is yes I would Nakajima expect to drive the car.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best ..............................organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)
I gotta say that with BMW pulling out and literally leaving Kubica hanging for next year, that I would be looking to jump ship before this year ends to either Renault or McLaren.
I know that there are contractual problems with doing so, but isnt Kubica still under contract at BMW next year? Maybe he can bail on 2009 as an equal swap for the renigging of his 2010 seat?
Man, I hope Kubica gets a good seat next year. Chances are that Brawn will not be as competitive in 2010, and Renault may be gone too, so McLaren would be his best bet!
Ferrari: Kimi Raikonnen, Felipe Massa
McLaren: Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg
BMW (PiquetGP): Piquet Jr., Nick Heidfeld
Renault: Alonso, Kovalainen
Red Bull: Webber, Vettel
Toro Rosso: Buemi, Alguesuari (depends on his performance this year)
Brawn GP: Button, Kubica
Force India: Sutil, Liuzzi
Williams: Trulli, Hulkenburg
Toyota: Glock, Nakajima
USGP: Barrichielo (for his everlasting wisdom on F1)
If Williams continue to perform they could go for both Nico's as they would have a major increase in FIA/FOM funding next year and so would need the extra cash so much that sees Toyota currently writing off a fair sized chunk of the cost of the engines.
Can't see Kazuki being dropped before the end of the year either, so he may not be next to go.
Hmmm...JV to make a comeback with USGPE? Interesting thought that, it would be most interesting if you would like to share you analysis behind that, scarbs?

Just rumours, I've heard nothing concrete. What other reasonable US driver with F1 experience is there?
JV can hardly be labelled as a US-driver, more like North American perhaps, probably still a name in the US after winning CART and Indianapolis though.
Nobody has even mentioned Scott Speed in all of this, why is that?
