Season is over in Q2 of the first race
It’s pretty much Deja vu. Ferrari challenge in Q, and Max will destroy them tomorrow. Merc nowhere really

it shows on live timing though that Red Bull run with new softs, whereas Macca, Ferrari and Mercedes were on worn tires.
Norris and Leclerc only had an outlap on that set of tires from end of Q1 when they drove back to the pits. So they were new tires.
Ah okay, my bad

Mercedes so slow
4th place in Q2 is "so slow"? Q3 should be fun all around, Ferrari looking the part.

Leclerc 219 kmh in T6, that's 2020 Q3 mercedes/RB level speeds, but still lacks a bit in T7.

Mercedes looks fine on track, just not fast enough. Wonder if this is what they thought was more in line with their pace than what we saw on Thursday.

Likely raised it out of necessity for the race.

Yes. Russell barely makes it and sector 2 is horrible. Way off RB/Ferrari, which is ultimately all that matters.

Looks like we might get 1.28.5! That's ridiculous for these cars.
