Lewis lost 0.15s in the last corner. I saw a snap of oversteer in turn 4 too and that might have lost him a tenth or two. The car has qualifying pace, Lewis bottled it.

Great effort from George...qually issues remain for Lewis. Made zero improvement from him Q2 time.
HAM was within a tenth of RUS through Sector 2 (0.09s to be precise), he must have made a mistake in the last corner.

Car still looks tricky to drive particularly in high speed corners, and is definitely missing downforce.

Top speed was a little disappointing - only 314-316kph down the main straight. Either their DRS remains deficient, or they haven't really been able to shed that much drag compared to last year.
Yeah bono told him he lost a 1.5 tenths in the last corner.

That old chestnut 😂

In all seriousness, they do usually converge on race day. GR goes backwards, and Lewis forwards.

Havent seen the telemetry yet but I would guess turn 4 and yes, as Bono said, that last corner.

Margins are so fine outside of what Max and CL seem to be able to do

I don't think he says that "directly".

Yeah “race pace” mate! Had you been starting 5th it would have been ok! But 9th? You’ll cook your tires trying to pass people…

So about 0,3 secs to Red Bull! That’s ok I think! But race pace we will be further behind I think…

Hamilton going forward will be very hard unless he’s got rbr like race pace. Hulkenberg obviously is gonna fall back but the Astons and mclarens and the Ferraris are all around mercs pace so very difficult to overtake them. Russell should get a podium, beating leclerc would be amazing. I think only checo can pass him from behind. We shall see…

Not sure but even in fp3 they were the car with the worst drs effiency

anyone have any thoughts on what lewis meant after qualy, yes he said he wanted more race pace but FFS p9 he cook his tyres passing those fast cars!!!, but he said somehing very interesting....

"When I made the set-up change, I put something on the car we haven't put on for the last two years and I was hoping that it would be ok. "I just stuck with it and it wasn't nice necessarily to drive"

Could this be something mechanical looser front (with understeer), to help the balance stay neutral as the rear loses grip?. saying that he never did this for 2 years is this not possible in 2022/23 due to car characteristics/design??

How do you improve your drs effect without changing your rear wing??

3 years now they haven’t bothered producing more than 2 rear wings…

They used Sainz for Ferrari and he had a tow however they used Perez for the RB and he didn’t have a tow.

Even after a fairly lacklustre session there is still a sense of calm in the team. They know where the car is and they're not panicking for setup answers or uncertainty. It's nice to have some stability.
I'll eat my words. Wasn't great from lewis. Still with the issues in qualifying. Let's hope whatever changes he made
