This is so boring but that's what happens when you keep the regulations the same when a team is miles out front. They should've changed it like they did in 2021 after a one sided 2020 but the FIA know what they're doing.

new idea! Max detonation button, 4 times a year fans can vote to blow up max's engine so we can actually have a competitve race, won't effect the championship at all

I think Perez has an issue. Exit of T1, exit of T8, exit of T10 there’s no power. You can barely hear the engine and then it kicks in.
Had a listen, didnt sound like anything is off. He's just slow? :?:

24 races where the only interesting variable is which of the 8 ferraris/mercs/maccas/astons will score P3 sounds absolutely exhilarating #-o.

Anyway, at least itll be interesting to see if/how some cars change in performance once the fuel load is low near the end of the race and they start to push.

Checo even further off than usual.

Sainz matching his pace.
Didn't Max bring in his sim-racing teammate this season to help with setup in the sim? Unlike at the start of '22 and '23, Max seems immediately happy with how the car feels.

Red Bull has no hards left for the final stint, so on paper Ferrari should go for an early undercut to put pressure on Perez. But looks like they are happy not to.

Both RB drivers are reporting cold tires more or less. Both engineers suggested using the tire more to maintain temps. Perez’s tires are older so it happened to him first, but now GP suggest to max to reduce lift and coast if he thinks it will help with the tires.

Yeah max has dropped quite a bit of pace. he's down a second from those initial 35.2s, now in the 36.0 range.

This is not too long of a stint for softs (in RB’s case). Verstappen did 20 laps on high fuel. It would be roughly 22 laps on low fuel. I think the RB also prefers the soft tire today which is why they used the hard tire in FP3.

I think the last stint will be the 1.34 stint Max did in Testing day 1....
