I guess we both were right and wrong at the same time. Damn, this race pace was hideous

It was 1:14..... just watch the race.....
Doesnt matter 1.20 or 1.14 its same man, max was even not pushing after his fastest lap so, very worried about this Aston !
Well, I'm not gonna say they don't have challenges in the long run pace. If they had stopped 4 laps sooner on the first stint and 4 laps soon on the 2nd, their pace overall would have been faster. Maybe finished the race less than 5 seconds behind Piastri.fouad1979 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2024, 19:08Doesnt matter 1.20 or 1.14 its same man, max was even not pushing after his fastest lap so, very worried about this Aston !
be smart man, they choosed this strategy for a safety car, its why Fernando was always pitting 10 laps after, diffuser wrote: ↑02 Mar 2024, 19:12Well, I'm not gonna say they don't have challenges in the long run pace. It's doesn't really matter, even if come safety car, still couldn't finish on podium. I didn't know last year lap times, but they just was very very slow on hards.fouad1979 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2024, 19:15be smart man, they choosed this strategy for a safety car, its why Fernando was always pitting 10 laps after,
After Mclaren last year and so on anything is possible to be honest, this car could have a lot of potential (or not)... what is clear is that any other replacement for Alonso will be a step below absolutely so Aston really need to keep him at all costs, it all depends on how they react to this poor start
Yes Alonso has said in interviews that the both the guys ahead and behind were far away so the strategy was on purpose suboptimal in order to catch a safety car but didnt work.fouad1979 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2024, 19:15be smart man, they choosed this strategy for a safety car, its why Fernando was always pitting 10 laps after,
