If Ferrari want to challenge for wins, they will have to be bold with development. I guess with that comes risks that they might become less consistent and could cost them overall performance.

Are there any rumours of what is being worked in the wind tunnel?

Charles seems very clear that 2nd would have been possible without issues: https://it.motorsport.com/f1/news/lecle ... /10582411/
That's not the question and he knows that, why would he be so angry about a missed P2? What makes him so furious is feeling he could have fought Max for the win. He won't say it now of course, but we all know it would have been a different race had he been in a position to do to Max what Russell did to him in the 1st stint.
We will hopefully see in Jeddah then, I wish I could share your optimism here haha

Huge bodywork upgrade for Imola is what has been reported.

Charles did a great job to actually get P4 when you watch those onboards. No wonder he lost so much time in the first stint. Wasn’t as obvious when watching on sky F1

I don't think he was in a position to challenge Max. I do think he's upset that Ferrari fell flat on their face with his car in the first race of the season, just like last year.

The issue was massive according to Charles and didn't get better. He improved because it didn't get worse after a while.

"It was impossible in the first 15 laps, the issue was getting a lot worse every lap," Leclerc said. "I was obviously basing my braking for Turn 9-10 with the previous lap, which obviously fell too late all the time, but the issue was getting a lot worse.

"Every time I would brake three meters earlier, but I would still look up, then at lap 15 or 20, the issue stabilised.

"The team told me on the radio that it was more than 100 degrees split between from front right and front left, which is huge.

"At that moment, I understood that the best thing I could do was just to bring the car home to the chequered flag.

"Honestly all in all, considering that the issue didn't get any better throughout the whole race... we started to be more consistent when the issue didn't worsen and every lap, which was helping me to be more consistent."

I think Ferrari underestimated once again Red Bull's (and Perez's) tyre management. They should have stopped Sainz 3-5 laps before at least, to either force Perez on a very long last stint with the soft or to loose position on track and having to overtake in the last laps. Maybe the result would have been the same, but I would have like them to try.

8 consecutive sessions that Leclerc is ahead of Sainz in qualifying.

Incredible considering how quick Carlos is, especially over one lap despite the media absolutely not highlighting this.

As expected. :D

It kills me that they imply that Leclerc should have done something to either prevent the issue or be as fast as the others with it.

I'd like to see their reaction if someone said that Hamilton's reliability woes in 2016 were self-inflicted and Rosberg was "the more thinking driver" of the two.

Schiff is clueless, but Hill is a racing driver himself ffs.

He clearly should have fixed the issue mid lap, maybe blow harder towards the brake with his mouth. Rookie mistake.
