I’m interested in one question, maybe on Thursday they lowered the W15 as low as possible to see the potential, but on Friday they raised the cars because they were afraid of disqualification for wearing the bar?

Toto said that the PU problem cost them from 0.4 to 0.6 tenths per lap, which is a lot, and his words that today the W15 did not show its real pace, I just think if this is true, then the Mercs are very close to the RB. Can a team boss lie? After all, if this is not true then it will only get worse, I think he saw all the data

Toto has been saying they are about to be on RedBull's feet since they got on track in Bahrain 2022 ...

Does anyone know when and if the big Mercedes upgrade package is expected?

''Can Toto Wolff lie'' feels like a question that should always be rhetorical.

Russell was quite happy after the race, maybe 0.5 tenths is true and he knows it and knows that they can improve, it seems to me that there is no benefit to lying in this sense, on the contrary

Toto is trying to save face. Mercedes lost most of their time to RB in Sector 2 which is the least power sensitive sector. The car lacks downforce and doesn’t look well after its tyres (something Hamilton acknowledged post-race).

Stopped believing anything Toto said a long, long time ago. So has, Hamilton, that’s why he’s leaving, as soon as he can. If you think changing the cooling package brings 0.5s of performance, without slowing the car down in the process, and that Mercedes will be under Max’s gearbox next week in Saudi, then you are simply delusional

I’m a fan, but Mercedes has been a crumbling empire for some time. Toto has lost it, the team needs a complete rebuild, the Allison appointment was purely desperational, they ballsed up the entire regulation, they lost their prized asset in LH, and to top it all off, the new car is simply not good enough either. Today was another embarrassing display, being 46 seconds off a barely pushing Max Verstappen.

Three years of utter failure. Just a shambles.

He wants to make the team as attractive as possible for new drivers and sponsors before Hamilton leaves.

He should still start by resigning and allowing a fresh face with new energy and better attitude to take over. That's just how these things go in sports, an era passed and it's time to move on. Arguably, Toto is simply too proud and stubborn to accept he's part of the problem for a while now.

Mercedes has suffered some bleeding when it comes to human resources lately and its tough to pin it all on Toto. This team has been in somewhat of a crisis since 2021.

Assuming Toto does step down, I don't think he would be doing the team any favours. I don't see a clear better candidate to take over the TP role at Mercedes.

If he resigns today, the team will probably fall into turmoil. At least short term, it wouldn't have a positive effect.

Ferrari was chasing after Horner in 22. Or is he not good enough for Brackley?
