Based on what written and seen in the first practice, these changes are coming relative to last season.

Stella said that the majority of the work done for the new car was under the skin to address the weakpoints of the last year's car.

Curiously, McLaren also changed the diffuser lip, and added a bump like other teams. Some kind of trend. I also note that because of the different positioning of the radiators at a different angle, the water slides over the pontoon start later. Last year they started earlier because of the different geometry of the radiators.

It's a medium downforce wing. Which is used at Silverstone, Suzuka. It's a normal aero load. In medium-speed and fast corners, you need some downforce.

Was a low downforce wing something we thought was coming this season?

I seem to recall debate last season but correct me if I’m wrong.

Ferrari have a medium one too right? Both teams presumably could change that as the weekend progresses?

I am pretty sure the Saudi-spec is a different rear wing compared to the one used in Bahrain. First upgrade?

Adaptation to the track. Changed the end plates from last year. The geometry and size of the upper flap may have been changed. But in general it is an evolution of last year's wing, which was often used on fast tracks.
