Out of all the cars, this one looks closest fit to RB 19 in regard to sidepod entrance architecture, also a long way toward the shift now on RB 20 to swap the under lip to over orientation without any real change to the inlet itself.

The carbon around the current arrangement, front of pod, looks modular too. It wouldn't be a surprise if they are already in evaluation of this area to explore performance in cfd in understanding if there's significant advantage to going that way for their chassis.

The flowvis on AM did show some compromised direction and adhesion of airflow in that area that may have come from lifting the underbite this high, although that (I think) may have been when Stroll lost his mirror that is a conditioner it seems in this location.

Pretty interesting in that even with the heat of the day they're not running cooling louvres.

I was looking back through last weeks pics and I found this one below here. It appears as though the air enters the front of the side pods and is pushed toward the middle of the car, near the drivers head. Then goes back to cool the rest of the PU. They are getting very good cooling.

Tbh it's even more impressive when you consider that Mercedes PU tends to run a little bit hotter than other manufacturers (maybe except Renault). Williams for example had overheating problems in Bahrain. Whatever Aston did concerning PU cooling seems to be working very well.

Looks like cooling provision can be more closed here, relative to Bahrain.

RB modification noted to FIA states that for their car.

The air cooling management on this AM looks pretty mature from those internal picture, the rear exit volume appears quite good too, perhaps they've good range inbuilt to cope with variance in ambient conditions.

Maybe the budget cap forced them to develop other areas before the floor first? And I bet they must have needed time to accommodate the new Mercedes rear suspension.

The 24 floor looks developed as far as those comparison show.

Look at the first "strake" next the monocoque, then compare position of second to that, top of floor entry appears raised, more volume appears to be expelled through to exit the side than previous floor.

Pretty funny to see all the armchair aerodynamicists on Twitter. It looks less complicated than the Red Bulls so that must mean it is bad and under developed. Yeah.
