he's pressing "GO 1" twice. GO1 is aston's equivalent of merc's "strat 2" = quali mode. So they used quali mode already. Verstappen also said in an interview some people already turned up their engines, while they havent, same as bahrain.
Some nice slipstream as well in the beginning.

Yeah not really, Alonso was only 2 tenths slower than Sainz in the long run. When you drive a few laps close behind a car you lose time and destroy your tyres, also Alonsos laps at the end were really slow what indicates that. All this added up can make some tenths. I don’t know how it was with the others but imo there was definitely more pace possible.

Slow from the beggining compared to RBR YES, (half a second slower), slow from the beginning compared to any other long runner on Mediums, NO.

Such a shame that it seems we have the worst deg in the field, the drop off from Alonso's first laps to his last in his stint were the largest out of anyone (bar Stroll). It seems like he could genuinely get a pole position at some point this year, but it clearly is the wrong direction to take in terms of maximising one lap performance as opposed to race pace.

You mean the top 5 not the WHOLE field ...
I don't see any runs a by Norris on the Medium tire in FP2. His HARD tire run of 5 laps was good but Hard Deg will be lower. maybe Live timing is off ?

Can you show me a worse drop off, percentage wise from any other driver on their race run?

I wrote down Piastri Numbers as 1:34.7, 1:34.4, 1:35.1, 1:35.1, 1:35.2, 1:36.3, 1:35.1

I watched the replay from FP2 in Bahrain and on Fernandos fastest lap he also used GO1, even 3 times.

Context is everything folks. Hards to draw any clear conclusions from FP2 other than the car is slower than the Red Bull in race trim (shock!) and the quali pace is good.
