Said it numerous times. There needs to be a complete rebuild there. The Allison appointment was a desperate, last ditch attempt to resurrect them during this awful era. It hasn’t worked.

It ridiculous to think Max would even contemplate going there, but that’s what a good job the media can do. Mercedes has been a been a sinking ship for some time, and I don’t see it being turned around anytime soon under Toto Wolff.

They might pick up some crumbs this year, and gain a few podiums, here or there. That’s about it. Sad times

Feels like a top down rethink is needed. If they can't get anything out of this season, surely the best option is to pull a Haas 2021 next season and go all in on 2026.

Like why'd you fire a good engineer? He may have made mistakes, sure, but Mercedes aren't exactly swimming in top tier personnel at the moment. This kind of performance shows that Merc's issues run much deeper than whatever mistakes he may or may not have done.

Heading into 2014 Brawn had a dream team of technical directors and the HPP factory way ahead of the curve...
Now they fire one of their top personnel right after they lost one to Ferrari and they can't even set up their cooling right.

Under limited budgets Wolff and Alisson will have to show how good they truly are.

Those car are not easy, look at the Aston a rocket in qualy and a dog in race like Ferrari last year
