I am very happy with the team's progress since Fernando arrived. What a change, compared to Renault. It is something that must be remembered.OnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑08 Mar 2024, 20:48You guys can say what just want, but 2023 Aston (amazing car) Q3 time was 1:28.730 now 1:27.846. Completely agree. I just hope that Flavio and Alonso are not impatient and give them a couple years more.Otromundo wrote: ↑08 Mar 2024, 21:01I am very happy with the team's progress since Fernando arrived. What a change, compared to Renault. It is something that must be remembered.
Last year they were lost during the development of the season. They could have done better but absolute perfection is not easy.
Everything they have done over the last 2 years or so seems spectacular to me. I think they really want to make a good F1 team. But this, like absolute perfection, takes time.
I'd be happy to see steady progress, with some ups and downs quickly resolved, throughout the season. And stay as high as possible both in qualification and later in the races.
Krack saying on Sky Germany right now that yesterday in the longrun the problem started when they ran up to Magnussen. Overtaking is difficult here with these cars (he says) and so they had to slow down. This episode somehow did something to the tyres and they were dead - after letting KMag go, they never got up to speed again. They haven't really understood this and will have to be very careful in the race with this
I agree.OnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑08 Mar 2024, 20:48You guys can say what just want, but 2023 Aston (amazing car) Q3 time was 1:28.730 now 1:27.846. Is almost 1s faster this year.Last year Pole was 1:28.265. Aston made bigger step than redbull....
