I think De la Rosa said he hopes to have a floor for tomorrow in a conversation with another journalist.

He also said that Alonso had a strong gust of wind in turn 6 which caused his mistake. Could be true but also teams defend their drivers so Im a bit skeptic. Too many opportunistic gusts of wind out there.
Think he was on used tires to boot.

If Alonso was driving a Redbull he wouldn't have gone out, that's the truth.

Yes, but Stroll hasn't destroyed two floors this weekend so that's not a valid excuse. The race is tomorrow and let's see if he makes up for it with a good Sunday.

Sure, but he destroyed whole car last race.

He takes the car to the limit unlike Stroll and it is practically the first time that this has happened with Aston Martin. But what exactly are you talking about?

I think Aston could have better place even if we check Alonso Q2 time then is would be enough for P7,but definitely not close to P1 unfortunately. Let's see tomorrow, but the P5-P6 is realistic I think. Anyway what the rules about destroyed tyres like you cant use anymore ,because of to much gravel? 🙄

The car was fast people get blinded by this result that was compromised by the floor damage. P5 at least was definitely possible and the long runs looked really good in FP2. I expect a good race.
Yeah, we are all blind. Fact is that they did not have the pace in Q2 too, needed 2 new sets.

ALO has a bad weekend, no excuses, but the car is also not mega fast, as can be seen with STR.

Almost everyone used 2 new softs in Q2…Red Bull,Ferrari,McLaren,Mercedes. 🙄

The pace was there, Alonso could have taken Norris place. Definitely with a good lap.

Teamstream McLaren: "The first objective today was obviously to get through to Q3. The second was to do so with two new sets of Soft tyres remaining. Both drivers have done that, along with VER, PER, LEC and SAI. The other cars only have one new set available.

I guess you check the facts onceagain and may be be a bit more cautious regarding words like „definitely“.

How slow he drives in comparison . Would be a miracle if he destroys one

Talking with you is useless cause you don’t want to accept other opinions, everyone needs to be ur opinion.

When I check the facts than I’m seeing that Alonso was faster than the McLaren until his error and floor damage and with a good lap he would’ve "definitely" take Norris place 😉

Ps: Maybe you should check the facts about the 2 set of softs in Q2 too. 😁

It's not an opinion when you just spray fake news:

Q2:
Ferrari: 1 used new set - first outing scrubbed set - second outing new set
Red Bull: 1 used new set - only one outing with a new set
McLaren: 1 used new set - first outing new set - second outing scrubbed set
Alonso: 2 used new sets - first outing new set - second outing new set
Stroll already had to use 2 new sets in Q1, only had one fresh for Q2 and Q3...

ALO did a 17.1 in his first Q2 attempt with new tyres - 5 tenths slower than PIA (also with new tyres) and 4 tenths slower than NOR (also with new tyres)

ALO did a 16.7 in his second Q2 attempt with new tyres - still slower than the earlier McLaren times

ALO also wasn't quicker than the McLaren in the first Q3 sector until the mistake.

So what are you talking? All what you wrote is just not true.
