I was just going to post to say that it's weird that there's still no team merchandise available, and thought I'd better double-check today, and ... there are a few shirts now. More to follow, I'd imagine.

Good news:We will have new floor this weekend,Yuki will test the new one while Iwasa will use the old one in FP1.
Bad news:Its a small upgrade according to Yuki,the new floor improves a little bit performance in slow corner,so it will not make much difference in a track like Suzuka.

According to AmuS, Ricciardo will use a different chassis in China. The team doesn't believe that the current chassis is causing his problems, but as they are introducing a new one anyway, they will give it to him to be on the safe side.

What makes you think either of the drivers have a chassis from pre-season testing? The cars have been taken apart since then so I suppose you are talking about the monocoque?

What makes you think either of the drivers have a chassis from pre-season testing? The cars have been taken apart since then so I suppose you are talking about the monocoque?

These days, the teams build a chassis for pre season testing and a second one in time for the start of the season.

They don’t throw the testing chassis away, one of the drivers gets it. Aside from upgraded items, the only items that don’t cary over from testing, are the gearbox and PU.

That was Excellent from both drivers, there were only hundredths between them on almost every run.

Getting points tomorrow, for both drivers, should be very doable as long as the team don’t get the strategy wrong.

Yes, teams usually build three monocoques: the first for testing, the second for the season opener and a third as spare. Ricciardo will probably get the spare in china and the one he currently drives will become the spare. No team will waste any time by building a separate testing tub, as the schedule is tight at the season start.

Just watch Williams, they even failed to get the spare tub done in time...

The AmuS article specifically says that the one Ricciardo gets in China is new, so unless they already build a 4th one, it could very well be the same for RB. Maybe others as well.
