I don't think Paul Ricard - surely the circuit buildings would be on the other side of the track if this is the pit straight. If it's the back straight, Ayrton is going the wrong way :D

I agree. I'm glad this topic has popped up again - I've wasted hours at work trying to work out where the shots are from! :roll:

This thread deserves a bump especially given the stream of guess the track questions in the Quiz thread. Anyone else up for reviving this one?

My first thought was Tripoli...but I don't think they ran as late as the car pictured.

It is in fact Tripoli 1939.
I'm not sure but I believe that may be Rudolf Caracciola in a slightly modified Mercedes-Benz W 154 Silver Arrow. the track was called "Mellaha Lake"
