Has anyone seen a picture of the new single-beam wing? Also from what I saw they didn't run new rear wing that was seen on Thursday. Yesterday both cars had an old double-beam wing and an old rear wing that was from Jeddah with small modifications. Tbh this is weird and frankly little worrying that they prepared new parts for a weekend and at the end didn't even use them.

I don't think they ran it. I looked for picture but all I found was the same one we see here, the 2 wing.

They said, going in, they might not run tge upgrades cause of the sprint weekend. Not enough practice sessions to test for the setup.

Both drivers used the new ring wing in FP1, but only FP1.

Beam wing has never been used, just checked the FP1 pics from both drivers, 2 elements each.

Front wing is hard to say for me as the differences are so hard to see (at least for me).

They were Circuit Specific, not New. Basically Same old wing with a different DF level. Just like the cooling, not new, just a bigger opening.

Well, if new performance or new circuit specific, they produced this parts not for fun (and not for free). They obviously wanted to use at least the low(er) DF rear wing, otherwise both drivers won't had used it in the only FP session.

There are alot of pictures of wings, cause they're visually in your face but they're not a performance differiator anymore. They tell more about how much DF your floor is generating or how efficient your DRS is than anything else.

I think, in the previous set of aero rules, you could just move the angle of attack of the rear wing. Now, you can't do that. So they just take how much rear wing angle of attack the simulator tells them they need and they adjust the top part of the rear wing. That, to me, is "circuit specific".

A better way to view the rear wings in this rule set is by how much pressure drop they create at the diffuser exit / behind the car, and not so much vertical force.

Aston Martin is happy with Mercedes' new rear suspension

During the past weekend Tom McCullough had also been asked a question about the Mercedes suspension, which, according to some rumors, is one of the causes of the W15's and, evidently, the AMR24's problems, especially with regard to tire usage. Aston Martin's Perfomance Director, however, flatly denied this rumor, stating that "we are happy with the suspension we have, our problems do not come from that element, but from how we use the tires."

Even if the rear suspension is the problem (I don't know) they won't blame Mercedes publicly.

They were happy with the Mercedes engine too publicly, negotiating a deal with Honda in the background. Naturally it will be a good step for AMR in 2026 doing everything yourself, not making compromises elsewhere.
