RB are upgrading as well.. we don't know whose will be larger

Has there been anything suggesting this upgrade will improve Ferrari in the low speed? I've only seen something that says it'll further improve their high/medium speed cornering performance.

I think they'll be pretty close to Red Bull, who are themselves bringing some upgrades, but still not enough to challenge.

I think they'll be pretty close to Red Bull, who are themselves bringing some upgrades, but still not enough to challenge.

I concur, I think Ferrari will be the second force and get closer to Red Bull but ultimately they'll all still be chasing Red Bull.
This assumes the big 3 teams all get a clean weekend as it doesn't take much to completely distort the pecking order.

I think they'll be pretty close to Red Bull, who are themselves bringing some upgrades, but still not enough to challenge.

Pretty hard to predict any of this.

For example if the pics show anything is that they can use more wing now at probably the same efficiency, this will obviously help with slow speed performance as wing works better than floor at slow speed. Ferrari already had the best braking and the frontend has also been great. So all points to improved slow speed performance.

But this is all eye measurement and that’s useless.

Hard to say still IMO. Ferrari has its media hypetrain & RB gets little coverage about its upgrades ahead of time usually. Other day Marko said he "expects a lot" from the imola upgrades that they are bringing

That is quite a bit unfair to say after all of the zeropod nonsense about the RBR update that lasted from pre-season testing till Suzuka.

Regardless of the scope of the updates, one thing Red Bull nearly always does is make their upgrade successful. They just bolt them on and go. You almost never see them back to back updates in practice or anything, and just seem to have total confidence they're gonna work. Which isn't surprising given how well they understand how to build the fastest car on the grid.

RedBull upgrades tend to give solid gains but can't say the same for Ferrari. I still expect them to be half a second down in race pace. McLaren's performance last time out in Miami, I feel, was very track specific. They too will be half a second down.

7 and 9 are skill corners, driver will make a difference to laptime.
14-15 kerb riding ability will contribute a lot to laptime. Ferrari should be excellent here.
Overtaking should be difficult, especially since many runoffs are now gravel.

Overall, as a layout, nothing really exciting except T7 and T9. Compared to this 'traditional' track, I find a layout like Jeddah to be more exciting (because there is opportunity for driver skill in the long high speed corners). But traditionalists will say the exact opposite.

Looks like the initial threat of rain for the weekend is diminishing. Friday/Saturday seems like it'll be dry, still a small chance on Sunday afternoon but looking less likely than earlier in the week.
