Was it Gasly who said that Torro Rosso always had something up their sleeve set up wise for Imola?
In his first year in Imola Yuki started from P20 and finished P12.
Its sad that he started so badly with his anger management issues and crashing. If the current performance and behavior was what he had when he arrived, he would be a serious contender for the spot in RBR.

Yuki's strong performances will likely earn him another year at VCARB as they will need a driver who can bring in points.
This team aims to be more than just a junior outfit for RB youngsters, which it clearly already isn't, as evident with their non-rookie drivers and to make the case against the 1 owner 2 team argument. So the better Yuki does, the more likely he is needed to stay at the team. If Perez starts to make more errors, Yuki may see himself endorsed by Marko, though drivers like Sainz still are in the picture so the sooner he signs the better chances for a Red Bull seat.
