Like it or not, this Q1 exit was down to Nando. Sadly fully deserved

With the difference that Stroll didn't make a single podium and Fernando made 8, if he misses a weekend for a car that makes you cry, you can't blame him.

Yikes. The irony of this statement. I won't feed the troll more than that.

Lance is matching Alonso since Miami. I am not sure if Lance has raised the game or Alonso has lost the confidence in the car.
Typically, Lance struggled with 'New Upgrades' but he is not since Miami.
Does that mean, AM is bringing these upgrades focusing on making the car drivable for Lance? Resulting in braking everything.

Sure they can,the real question is they have new parts or Alonso have to drive the old car.
To be honest, it might not be a bad exercise to run the old car to see if the new one is an improvement. I think they have to go back to testing mode to actually really get to the bottom of making these tyres work imo.
What about upgrades are improvement but other's updated are even better?
Yes, that's probably the case. But they are clearly not as effective as intended. They have gone backwards relative to the field having upgraded the car the most out of anyone.

I'm confident they can turn it around. They clearly have good people, plenty of financial backing, great new facilities etc. but they have to get to the bottom of it asap or the season is a write off. They are running out of excuses ( moving factory, last years TDs etc). I'm not bashing them, I think they'll get there but everything should now go into understanding the tyres IMO, I wouldn't worry about any major upgrades until they have that understanding as there is clearly a simulation/ correlation issue. Similar to what they did near the end of last year, just run some open R&D, testing sessions.

Now Alonso is p19 they might as well use this weekend as a test session IMO.

But equaling what? But are you seeing which positions are being fought for at the moment? But are you serious or are you joking?

Unpopular opinion : Dan fallows went to Aston just for a Big paycheck

He promised -0.4 sec... and a competitive car for any track type

Wonder why James Allison was a top priority for Aston during last summer

I'm sure Lawrence Stroll is beyond frustrations and will soon be making strong decisions.
