Good battle by RB and McLaren. Very close! the redbull's stronger in the first sector. Ferrari have a long way to go.
Not surprised, the Redbull did get things sorted all of qualifying. Quite comfortable pole. the Mclarens were pushing like hell and taking more risk.
Race should be close!
For Sure!!

Leclerc would have been in contention for pole if he matched his S1 from his first q3 lap. There must have been a mistake in there somewhere and they are much closer than the times would have you believe.

Norris had 3 tenths up in last sector against Max. Would love to know where he found that.

Ferrari repeatedly 3 tenths down in S1.

Verstappen is actually happy this time.
He had to fight this time at least we should have interesting races now, one mistake and race is lost.

Set up, giving up some in S1 to S3 to have tires, Max almost ran out of track, etc.

I think that was only because they started off on the back foot going into Friday. What a turn around though.

RedBull seemed more planted as usual. Max could pin the car down on the edges of those white lines without a worry. Another pole for him. That matches Senna's record of 8 in a row, and Prost's record of Seven consecutive poles since the start of the season.

Perez doesn't appear confident in the car.

Horner said it was a new world record. So must have been something there.

I see it like this in Q3.

1. Lando
2.Charles 0.150s
3.Piastri 0.2s
4.Sainz 0.3s
5. Verstappen 0.5s
6. Russel 0.7s
7. Perez 0.8s
My prediction was a disaster...

Verstapen got Hulkenberg’s slipstream at the start-finish straight hence his difference in top speed and pace!
340 for Max vs 330 for Leclerc and 332 for Piastri!

Classic “oh what a mega lap” pole by Verstapen…

Max pulled it from the skin of his teeth. If not for the improvement on the second run, he would have lost it. Great job nevertheless to come back from a difficult Friday.
Ferrri underperformed to the expectations, but it's unwise to expect the upgrades to work straight away. Boads well for next races.
McLaren! Wow. Great job from both drivers.
Hopefully there is going to be a great race tomorrow. =D>
