Very good progress from the team. Can't wait for the race and also Monaco where we should be strong.Wouter wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 17:39.runningmanz wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 17:10Great qualli for the team 2 cars in top 10 with Yuki p7 Dan p9. Ahead of Perez too

you are talking about the first second or third best car in the field. yuki has 5th best car at best.if you look at past races yuki at best usually does not improve on his q2 lap he usually just match it or slightly fast but just.the best team bring the big guns in q3 thats where they use their powerful engine modes.yuki should at least edged russell.
Yep I agree, but Yuki had the pace and was using all his tools at his disposal quite well until that last run.Bill wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 19:20you are talking about the first second or third best car in the field. yuki has 5th best car at best.if you look at past races yuki at best usually does not improve on his q2 lap he usually just match it or slightly fast but just.the best team bring the big guns in q3 thats where they use their powerful engine modes.yuki should at least edged russell.
start have been rubbish these year ,strategy was --- too they should have pitted with leading team on lowfuel its easy to overtake.they basically gave stroll clear air to do his thingrunningmanz wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 16:31Well done Yuki grabbing the last point. Car not as good in race trim. Onto Monaco, hopefully strong race for us.
I think P9 was the best result if we do everything right,so P10 was still good for me.Merc was still a bit quick for us,so only lose one position to Stroll,its okay.Bill wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 16:43start have been rubbish these year ,strategy was --- too they should have pitted with leading team on lowfuel its easy to overtake.they basically gave stroll clear air to do his thingrunningmanz wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 16:31Well done Yuki grabbing the last point. like the 2024 Visa Cash App RB Team didn't have the best outcome in yesterday's qualifying session. It's frustrating when things don't go as planned, especially when one driver struggles with tire management towards the end of the session. Yuki's performance in Miami showed promise, so it's understandable to hope for similar success again. Hopefully, they can analyze what went wrong and make adjustments for the next opportunity.

Laurent Mekies (Team Principal)
“With just 15 kilometres separating our Faenza factory from the Imola circuit, this was always going to be a special event for us;
our first home race under the Visa Cash App RB banner.
It was great to have so many employees from the factory here at the track, creating a sort of “Blue Army” in a special VCARB grandstand and rotating our VIP passes to get as many of them as possible into the paddock. This was our way of thanking everyone in Faenza, Bicester and at Honda for their hard work, which has been giving us good results, to put us once again at the top of the midfield here
in Imola.
Even if today’s race leaves us a little bit disappointed, as a better start from both Yuki and Daniel would have probably created a better scenario for us, a point is a point and there are many positives to take away from the weekend. Our qualifying performance proves that the upgrades we implemented in Miami are definitely bringing us performance to go on fighting for sixth position in the Championship. And now we carry that momentum forward to face the unique challenge of Monaco. Daniel has been on the podium there no fewer than four times, including a win, and Yuki is currently in great form, so we will be pushing for another strong performance from the whole team.”
