What a bloody joke. This is why i can't stand that everyones pally pally on the grid. This is why we need Alonso and Hamilton in the fast cars because Gen Z are to friendly. Max has this whole grid on lock for years because when Alonso and Hamilton actually retire its gonna be a party fest on that grid " Ah max i know im not as good but il give you a toe or il move over so you can get the result mate, I can't wait to see you get more WDC because your the best " Bunch of muppets.
“And that’s part of the game, is being able to be adaptive, and we’ve got this new car – I don’t know how it’s going to handle, hopefully she’s great.”

Max Verstappen is the Marc Marquez of F1...
Looking at telemetry Max did lose around half a tenth in final corner but overall a great lap given his struggles with balance.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

Don't compare redbull car wonder with Marc .. No one ever was or will be like him.
We need a miracle. We need only one racing lap.

My prediction was a disaster...
I don´t know if you are a new fan but, if so, don´t be too hard on yourself. I watch F1 for 3 decades now and I learned not to read too much into FPs. The people that were hoping for RB to be in trouble around here were just on hopium. Tomorrow, it will not be close, regardless of what anyone thinks based on "race simulation" done on FP2. Verstappen will win by a big margin again, Mercedes will perform better on race pace and maybe get closer to Ferrari, if Tsunoda don´t hold them too much, and Mclaren will get a double podium.

I'll let you know the next time we get a driver in F1 winning 19 in a season, winning 10 in a row (twice) and setting the consecutive pole record.

Max Verstappen. The most underrated driver on the grid. So happy that dude Newey has finally gone. Newey wasn't driving this 3rd fastest red bull today, to put it on pole.

Piastri is under investigation, and it would be quite surprising if he doesn't get a +3 penalty

Max is an extremist. He has been metronomically trained since he was a child to leave not an inch of track uncut or straight-lined... every white line is under threat from this kid. I was praying he ran over the line and get his time deleted, as he flirted with it on every single run... but it was a hopeless wish, the kid obviously is a long-time master of this skill.

Piastri lost 0,1s to himself in the final two corners. So, it's fine. Mclaren was clearly fastest car today, in fact by a margin.

RedBull will be fine tomorrow. Engine turned down and they’ll solve their little balance problems.
Perez was out in Q3. Red Bull was fine. Perez'scollapse begins right at the start of the Euro season like usual

I doubt they will punish a podium contender and "spoil the fight up front" because somebody held up a Haas. I remember many years ago, on Silverstone, either 2015,16 or 2017, when Hamilton massively held up somebody but they obviously didn+t take his pole away. The track was packed with people wearing t-shirts of "Hammer time" and etc.

F1 is show before being a sport. That said, yeah, maybe they will punish Oscar to give Ferrari a chance to be on the podium for the tifosi

Verstapen got Hulkenberg’s slipstream at the start-finish straight hence his difference in top speed and pace!
340 for Max vs 330 for Leclerc and 332 for Piastri!

Classic “oh what a mega lap” pole by Verstapen…
Still not close to number of Hamilton's 'lap of a career'.

Not surprised, the Redbull did get things sorted all of qualifying. Quite comfortable pole.

RedBull seemed more planted as usual.

The above two snippets must be the understatements of the century. The RB20 isn't a match on the Mclaren or Ferrari this weekend, we will see it in the race. The car was understeering like hell and looked terrible in S2, especially with how much margin Max was leaving in T11.
The driver drove the nuts off the car and got pole. We have to call is as we see it, and keep our bias aside. Credit where credit is due. He showed the flash-of-genius that great drivers keep showing once in a while. The S1 from the two Q3 runs reminded me of that famous S3 in Q3 monaco 2023.
Redbull strategy and Max would have done something incredible (or just a luck safety car or some such) if he finishes on the podium tomorrow.
