I don´t know if you are a new fan but, if so, don´t be too hard on yourself. I watch F1 for 3 decades now and I learned not to read too much into FPs. The people that were hoping for RB to be in trouble around here were just on hopium. Tomorrow, it will not be close, regardless of what anyone thinks based on "race simulation" done on FP2. Verstappen will win by a big margin again, Mercedes will perform better on race pace and maybe get closer to Ferrari, if Tsunoda don´t hold them too much, and Mclaren will get a double podium.
History will remember the name mate... Max Verstappen
Piastri is under investigation, and it would be quite surprising if he doesn't get a +3 penaltyArtur Craft wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 17:37I don´t know if you are a new fan but, if so, don´t be too hard on yourself. Piastri lost 0,1s to himself in the final two corners. So, it's fine. Mclaren was clearly fastest car today, in fact by a margin.Silent Storm wrote: ↑18 May 2024, 17:34Max Verstappen is the Marc Marquez of F1...
Looking at telemetry Max did lose around half a tenth in final corner but overall a great lap given his struggles with balance.
Perez was out in Q3. Red Bull was fine. Perez'scollapse begins right at the start of the Euro season like usual
I doubt they will punish a podium contender and "spoil the fight up front" because somebody held up a Haas. I remember many years ago, on Silverstone, either 2015,16 or 2017, when Hamilton massively held up somebody but they obviously didn+t take his pole away. The track was packed with people wearing t-shirts of "Hammer time" and etc.
Still not close to number of Hamilton's 'lap of a career'.
