I think they ran light + quali mode, so now the delta for track evolution and fresh tyres will determine the final time. Its a representative time IMO.
Yep, a user on here posted on twitter that Charles had to pit for fuel and also was running qualy engine mode.

Charles must be operating in a higher engine mode for the home race. I am a Leclerc homer but there is not 1.1s between him and Sainz. Might be a hyper focus on qualifying. Only Q1 will tell. Similar to what Xyz22 said, he is really attacking the circuit on the onboard.

Bryan asked him to do some race laps in FP1 and Charles shut it down, saying wanted to focus on quali prep.
The telemetry says otherwise, Sainz just has 0 confidence on traction compared to Charles rn.

I think Leclerc is pushing hard to gain as much confidence as possible because he knows the car is not easy with the soft tyres over one lap.

What's going on? Why is the gap so huge? Why can't anyone beat Charles' time on the medium?
But I like it.

I think Charles pushes to find the edge much faster and sooner than others. Looking good non the less.

All drivers push. This is Monaco. You need to push every lap to gain every possible bit of confidence because there is no other track where driver confidence is as important as here.

Leclerc is furious he couldn't complete 2 push laps.

I actually think that the Ferrari will be the car to beat this weekend, but let's see. :)
RB and McLaren were ahead last 3 weekends, for different reasons each time. Until Ferrari win on Sunday, they are the ones chasing and should adopt this mentality :)
I'm sure Ferrari has got that mentality and I agree that this should be the way to go. However, I still think that with focusing on just one type of corners setup-wise Ferrari should be in a good position. Also minding that for example S3 in Melbourne were their territory, as you said.

Everyone is brushing the wall or the rain drain, locking wheels and more... Everyone is pushing and his laps were insane on a lap for lap comparison while also staying out as much as the others.

In my opinion this is going to be Leclerc's & Ferrari's to lose. The only car + driver combination which looks very comfortable straight out of the pits every time. He is pushing it a bit too hard though, just put a S1 which was 0.2~0.3s faster than his fastest lap but he is dropping it afterwards. There's a lot more laptime in there.

Charles could have made 1.10 if there was no error or no traffic. Holy.

His current ideal lap with bs1,bs2,bs3 is 1.11.004

I am here for the hype. Be a struggle to rein it in until Q1.

Well, almost then, but I think in his last 2 tries he would have improved in s2 and s3 too.

For as good as Charles qualy pace was, long run was awful. Carlos's times were very solid though.
