Early days but a decent practice for Merc today, remains to be seen if there’s much room left like the others but I did wonder if Monaco may just suit their car a little bit more this weekend than other circuits.

Did Russel use the new wing in 2nd practice? He seems a bit off colour this weekend.

I think they may use it only for practice foe data collection. The risk with only having 1 of the wing is if they use it for qualifying and he damages it, because the car is in Parc ferme they'll have to start from the pitlane.

He used, but he was reporting problems in his car (too much vibration in the steering wheel at a particular corner)

How can Mercedes be certain if their upgrades are working? Hamilton does not have the upgraded front wing however he is better than George in all the Free Practices.

Might explain why old man Lewis seems to be wringing the neck of the thing but it responds so lazily in the second sector.

As usual, Lewis cannot get it done in Q3.

Don't think the front wing was a game changer. Hamilton was ahead of Russell all weekend.

Lool typical Hamilton. Been ahead of him in practice while Russell had problems and still gets it done. 7 - 1

It seems to me that the main thing is that Mercedes is improving and updates will be at the next stages

They seem to ride the kerbs better, but the car is still struggling with rear grip / rear tyre temps.

On a track this short, they are quite a ways behind. And if not for Max banging a wall, behind three teams.

Its not awful but its still not near good. The middle sector gap was mighty

well, updates in Canada, etc. before Silverstone, if the updates give a total of 3-4 tenths, it will be good, it seems to me that in terms of the level of grip everything is fine, the problem is in the rear wing, it has a lot of downforce, but Ferrari and McLaren have even more loaded fenders, because of this I think the S2 is not particularly successful, but still the car looks good

Well, Russell did have a bad start with the steering issue so he was behind in building his momentum during the weekend, so who really knows how much it gave? Great job nonetheless, he really knows how to deliver in qualifying.

Russell has beaten him on all types of tracks and Lewis hasn't got a answer for his pace. Its absolute domination in qualy. The fact he had 3 trouble free practice session and Russell was having problems in all of them. Yet when it comes down to it. He loses out. Must be a mental block and will only get worse if this form keeps going on . Plus Russell and his smug face will be absolutely loving this. Sort it out Hamilton maybe you should stop with all this fashion nonsense and focus on your job mate
