Theres more to it than the drag.Vanja #66 wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 21:40Judging by f1-tempo telemetry, SF24 beat RB20 by 2kmh on overall Top Speed out of the tunnel in Q3. No doubt this is the result of Imola bodywork spec drag improvement. Think this is also the first time Ferrari was better with both cars on exactly the same wing level in this reg cycle, last year they were dead even in Monaco.
Nope, and a better lap from Piastri might well have made it really close. That Mclaren is serious. It has such an incredible reactive front end nowadays, which helps a lot anywhere, but especially here. Leclerc made the difference, cuz by all accounts Sainz sounded quite happy with his lap.

Let's see how you feel halfway into next season....Elite wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 23:18I am a Sir Lewis Hamilton fan first but Leclerc fan second (good that they're both together next year). Great lap by him and I think getting this win would feel like a massive brick being taken off his chest
They need to be on their A Game tomorrow and use Sainz strategically as best they can
Would you say that is one of the weakest aspects of the new car? Being less aero efficient that is..Vanja #66 wrote: ↑25 May 2024, 21:40Judging by f1-tempo telemetry, SF24 beat RB20 by 2kmh on overall Top Speed out of the tunnel in Q3. In Imola wing level was different from RB and McLaren, so we can't compare directly. Here in Monaco you can agrue Ferrari has better efficiency, but with bigger ride height the floor works differently from regular tracks and most likely generates less drag than usual.
according to the AmuS article about it, the PU from Miami will only return for Canada. The problem here was with engine #3, so they went back to the one from Bahrain.
