Sainz back to third confirmed.
What a joke #-o
I think it's mandatory because the lap was not finished.
That's alright, I just believe it would be more fair if it was the last sector completed that counted. At the end of the day, nothing that a forum user like me could influence :D

Perez is not used to watching behind him, squeezing Magnussen's front was always gonna be a disaster
I'm no fan of Perez but that wasn't his fault.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Sainz back to 3rd.
If drivers were to restart with hards, does it count as using 2 compounds? Probably not since they reset Sainz position.
It would be interesting. Lap not counting for position changes, but counting for compound changes...😒🤔

Yes. So we may get a procession to the end.

Only wildcard will be the cars that started on hards (VER, RUS, HAM) - they probably can't take medium to the end so we may get them trying to force their way forward on softs or something.

I said this before and say this again, Magnussen doesn't belong on any road, let alone a race track.

Also well done to follow the rules on red flag restart order, no laps were completed before red flag
which rule are you referring to? The one I know says

"In all cases the order will be taken at the last point at which it was possible to determine the position of all cars. All such cars will then be permitted to resume the sprint session or the race"

When Grosjean went up in flames, they used mini sectors to determine the order. In other cases they used the normal sectors. Today none at all.

If the first lap didn't count for position change, I don't see how it can count for tyre usage.

Ok so checo looked in the mirror and knew Kmag was there. I'm with Vanja now that it wasn't all Kmag fault and maybe stewards agreed.

I am very happy that both Haas are out as it's a good penalty for them to let someone like Magnussen in their car.

They really oughta change this rule to obligatory pit stop.
It has happened too many times.

Sainz mediums are useless if taking hards to the end isn't allowed.

They are cowardly and don't want to ban him
