There is precedence for requiring extra pit stops.
Everyone was managing delta’s and backing up people so much, it’s really hard to say what was what. We didn’t even get spicy outlaps / inlaps today. When people are circulating 3-5s a lap slower than qualifying, the pace is all in whatever strategy they’re doing.sport777 wrote: ↑26 May 2024, 19:34I monitored the telemetry and came to the conclusion that Merc was the fastest in the chicane of turns 10 and 11, as well as in 12 Tabac, and constantly, there Verstappen lost up to five tenths on each lap, plus Merc was also very good in acceleration, or it’s an engine or good traction
I wouldn’t say so, the second part of the race was quite revealing, it seemed to me that the Merc had very good grip, chicanes 10 and 11 are an indicator, there the Merc improved especially wellHoffman900 wrote: ↑26 May 2024, 19:43Everyone was managing delta’s and backing up people so much, it’s really hard to say what was what. Qualifying was the true showing of performance here.
No one was pushing, not first not last, they were 2+s off optimal pace to make the tires last.sport777 wrote:I wouldn’t say so, the second part of the race was quite revealing, it seemed to me that the Merc had very good grip, chicanes 10 and 11 are an indicator, there the Merc improved especially wellHoffman900 wrote: ↑26 May 2024, 19:43Everyone was managing delta’s and backing up people so much, it’s really hard to say what was what. Checo needs to score points consistently. Max would not be able to win the constructors' Championship for Red Bull on his own. Both drivers for McLaren and Ferrari are doing a great job but for Red Bull, Checo ain't doing enough.
