The most interesting question is what to do with the updates? To force them to get more of a small advantage? Or still count on larger ones with bigger gains but with a longer wait?

Taking their time with updates has always been their style and I don't think that will change unless Charles emerges as a genuine title contender

As I said in the quali, Bryan is a decisive improvement over Xavi.

Simple, clear messages, only saying what matters, not forgetting overall goal, clearly well trusted by LEC who never really pushed back on Bryan asking him to keep RUS pace, although eventually BB had to explain why RUS was the reference as LEC wasn’t getting it.

Well done to LEC who dumped a 1.15.1 on 70 lap tires, TSU 1 lap behind and 3-4 laps later did a 1.14.9 and HAM’s best time was a 1.14.1.

Also strategy team worked very well, when HAM pitted, it was possible that it could have turned ugly, they immediately told SAI to slow down to prevent the window opening for NOR. And at the end of the race LEC still was close to a pit window on RUS anyway as they handled that beautifully.

The race was boring but lots of little positive things that were executed extremely well, and the car itself had lots of pace in it today as well. Even the race starts were good on reaction from both drivers.

Right, just like they aren't interested in winning. The things these people write and say...
With respect to Amus, this is really some nonsense, the team uses the services of Rory Byrne, and yet does not want to get the same from the main wizard of aerodynamics of all of the F1? Sound like false.

If you mean false as in he didn't say that no, I posted the receipt, but of course he could be wrong.

WCC fight is officially on now. COME ON!

I dare say Ferrari wins it if the relative pace stays at a status quo. Perez is going to get eaten by McLaren and Ferrari, and unless Verstappen finishes only P1 and P2, that gap is going to be shrinking every weekend.

Even the WDC isn't finished yet.

Also I'm not going to lie. I almost shed a tear.
WCC is absolutely RB's to lose, until they mathematically actually lose. On the other hand, they will absolutely not allow themselves to lose WDC and Max will make sure to stamp his authority in Canada.

Perez is having a bit of a bad luck streak, but he brought this DNF on himself today. He might have another results breakdown again, like last year, until this race I really didn't expect him to. Still, they way things are now, history teaches us that Ferrari and McLaren will take so much points off each other and RB will have just enough to close down the WCC as well
We must love Perez, 2nd year in the row and we saw the RB bottom. I just hope RB will keep him forever or he can go to MCLaren? lol

True team effort there. Leclerc had a near perfect weekend. Really needed that win after almost 2 years(!). Sainz did a good job recovering through the weekend and managing to keep Norris out of the pit window.

Should be in the running for similar at Canada IMO. Going to be a tough fight between the top 3 again. RB will obviously have the advantage on the straights but the car's trouble with curb running will come into play IMO.

Side note, Leclerc hasn't finished lower than 4th and Sainz lower than 5th this entire season. Here's hoping they can stay consistent.

One more sprint in 2024, but still. An immense improvement

WCC points after 8 races:

2004 - 300 (latest points system)

2006 - 185 (latest points system)

2007 - 222 (latest points system)

2008 - 225 (latest points system)

2017 - 226

2022- 199 (I made a mistake posting 209 after race 7)

2024 - 252

So as crazy as this looks and sounds, 2024 is now definitely going better for Ferrari than any other season since 2004 (so far Sprints were worth 20p in 2024, less than the gap to 2017 WCC points). 2006-2008 had strong finishes, but I will keep only 2007 (most WCC points of the 3 in the end) included so we can have a direct comparison. I am not sure we are understanding the magnitude of these results for Ferrari and also the level at which RB is still at to have such a lead in WCC and WDC with a very unfortunate DNF in Australia.

2022 is now well behind in every way, especially since both seasons saw 2 wins in first 8 races, but I will keep it included until the gap is bigger than 100p just to give some recent reference to 2024 season. Leclerc and Sainz are doing a mega job on track and everyone in Maranello is doing a mega job on the car, strategies and operations. A true modern and professional F1 racing team!
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

That was actually emotional for me after so many attempts that didn't work out.

Charles just turned up in Monaco and from Friday just went "Fek it, I am winning this and there's not a damn thing any of you can do about it!"

Great performance, great win, what a turnaround by this team after last season.
