Yeah Russell will be there. He's good at analysing Hamilton's telemetry between sessions. Im not sold on that Hamilton lap because merc have been pretty descent in practice but when qualy comes, they fall away everytime. He does look comfortable with what i can see with the cars body language.
“And that’s part of the game, is being able to be adaptive, and we’ve got this new car – I don’t know how it’s going to handle, hopefully she’s great.”

Car seems like it will be on the front row at the very least if not pole.

A lot seems to be on the acceleration out the corners. Podium definitely a space to aim for this weekend
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Depends.
Lewis puts in more effort if the car gives him confidence.
So i am cautiously optimistic he can put it on pole.
His experience at this circuit cannot be undermined.

Russel can suprise indeed but i think he has to go for very high risk to qualify ahead.

He is chucking it harder into the chicanes compared to Lewis.

Hamilton is dialed in. I knew the Ferrari wont go so well here in Canada then there is the Redbull that seems to be back to a similar level.

Redbull are fastest in the medium speed while its the straights that Mercedes are hauling.
Maybe there is some kind of upgrade engine tuning as well on the car, or drag reduction from the new wing.
For Sure!!

It's likely going to rain for qualifying, so the pecking order might look different. I think both cars qualifying in the top 5 isn't out of the order in the dry, but unclear how quick Mercedes will be if it is wet.

The car is looking strong.
If we do have a wet qualy, i dont expect much from Perez and the Ferraris. Piastri is an uknown.
That leaves Max, Lando, Lewis, George as the ones to watch. Probably Stroll in the mix for a surprise.
For Sure!!

Russell will analyse the data and you watch he will be up there with lewis. If i was lewis i would do what rosberg used to do hide his pace until Qualy so lewis cannot pick up on his data where he found some advantages. If you remember Nico used to do purples then on purpose slow in certain corners so he doesnt give to much away. I wonder if russell is like this as come Qualy he gets quicker and finds time in corners where he was no-where vs lewis, in FP1,2,3.

Redbull spending more time on throttle and brakes, and less time in corners than Merc.
Mostly likely it means Merc had turned up the engine more and Redbull was very conservative with braking input.

Rbr being last in the speed traps is bad news for the rest of the field imo. They won’t be last in quali. They have been among the fastest on the straights all year.

I think the rain helps Ferrari and Mercedes. If it’s dry I’ll be surprised if it’s not Max on pole.
