Leclerc reporting that balance is not good
His fast lap was ruined with the red flag but his long running was 5 tenths down on Carlos. On his last M lap before they pitted for practice he was saying the tyres were feeling good. So might be a warm up issue. Charles flipped his set up to Carlos' mid session, hence why he was running a different times. Hopefully they can fix it for FP2.

Otherwise Sainz push M lap looks great compared to Ver and Lando on the Soft, obvious fuel, engine, etc. caveat.
Still don't think this upgrade is worth 5 tenths though... We will see but some reason to be cautiously worried for now.Space-heat wrote: ↑21 Jun 2024, 14:35His fast lap was ruined with the red flag but his long running was 5 tenths down on Carlos. He matched Carlos on S1 and S2 before they asked him to boxSpace-heat wrote: ↑21 Jun 2024, 14:35His fast lap was ruined with the red flag but his long running was 5 tenths down on Carlos. Thanks.organic wrote: ↑21 Jun 2024, 14:42YesAutobahn303 wrote: ↑21 Jun 2024, 14:40Is it confirmed that Leclercs car didn´t have the new upgrades?
Had Ferrari not brought any upgrades at all(which was the initial plan), the car should have been good still. Definitely not 'horrible' as Leclerc is claiming. That the upgrades help is good yes, but they will probably still want to figure out why the base configuration is not going well, unless Ferrari themselves knew this track wouldn't suit them without these upgrades, which seems unlikely.Sphere3758 wrote: ↑21 Jun 2024, 14:32Not sure why there is so much overreaction. Charles does not have the upgrades, he was quite calm during the long run. The fact that Carlos is meaningfully faster is great news! It means the upgrades are working.
