It finally makes sense to me why RB is keeping Perez for two more years. He will be allowed to retire amicably to be a very important RedBull ambassador for the Americas.
Perez brings money and he helps sell Red Bulls to Mexico / Central America.

That’s literally the whole point of RB Racing, sell Red Bulls.

If I was Sainz or Russell Id be furious.
George needs to learn to manage tires

Carlos needs to learn to sell as much gear and be as popular as Lewis.

Pro racing is a for profit business. No one just gets handed anything.
None of that explains why they got put on hards for no reason.
Probably looked at the data of the others and thought it was a good idea, Russell and Sainz could have also either agreed to it or asked for it, unfortunately these things happen, it has happened to Lewis this season already being put on the wrong tire

McLaren with the suboptimal strategy have caught back up to the gap to the lead at end of stint 1, including losing 2s in the pits. Tells all
Look at Max and Perez. We just dont know. One of the engineers were saying the RB still looks a bit more controlled. It is nip and tuck
We over think stuff way too much, commentators have to make it interesting and say “awww it could be so close if the strategy was different” is just talk.

Watch the race: RB out front able to manage the race, pit at their ideal times, calculate landos finishing time and give their driver a delta. Would have been less than ideal if the start was different but the winning car is the faster car here guys.
This. The commentators are carnival barkers trying to keep you engaged and make it interesting, while taking numerous liberties to do so.

A healthy soft shod Ferrari chasing a weakened hard tyre shod Mercedes and the Ferrari is barely making any inroads...

Why didnt they put George on the softs
“And that’s part of the game, is being able to be adaptive, and we’ve got this new car – I don’t know how it’s going to handle, hopefully she’s great.”

George pitted on lap 37, Lewis pitted on lap 44, probably didnt think he could make it or just thought the hard was a better tire looking at the others around them. who knows really

Probably because he’d burn them off in 5 laps. He would be behind the Charles and maybe Carlos by now if they did that

Max brings it home. I do not for one secpnd think he is struggling. Good job. I think he made the difference. More championship experience and all.

George ate his tyres defending pointlessly against Norris. It’s what he does. Hamilton extended the stint.

i think Mclaren was the fastest car this race, Norris just lost all the time at the start of the race getting stuck behind Russell and Max
