It’s massive bud don’t kid yourself. Too much emphasis gets placed on quali pace, we’re waaay down on race pace. Without a gimmick, like rain or SC we’ve no chance. If they (McL or Rb) get past, they show a clean pair of heels

Lewis race was vintage. He made some great moves including aggressive but perfectly judged overtake on Sainz.

Russel didn't do much wrong, and had a good fight with Norris.

He was a bottleneck on the first stint. The strategy given to him was a function of his outright speed IMO, they cleared RUS right out of the way on that 2nd stint because he would’ve held HAM. It was early for S, so H were what they fitted.

After Silverstone Mercedes will be rewarded more development time than their immediare rivals due to being fourth in the championship. It could see a serious resurgence from them.

Strange by Merc not to let Lewis past early in the race when it was clear he was held up by George. In the end it didn’t matter, but at that stage they could not have known. They are not very solid in the strategy department, as shown many times this season.

I’m glad to hear that he wasn’t pushing at the end. Because I was keeping an eye to his gap to Max since their tires were relatively the same age and he was losing half a sec a lap. Maybe Merc went too conservative there. Lando and Max were pushing and Lewis should have been allowed to push too.
