Top 5 was probably on. But they bottled setting the lap up and alonso made a mistake at brooklands
Anyway glad to see the pace is there. If he can get past slower cars at the start early the race might come back to him
Yeah, that final lap was a mess. Overcooking tyres trying to overtake Sainz, Piastri in the middle... Little good might come out of that. And then, his mistake. Anyway, 3 tenths slower than Stroll, with a used soft versus the new one of Stroll, says something. He could have been top five for sure.
im really shocked how AM is better than last week, that front wing is thw flexible front wing or they made a modifications in old wing? We are slow comparing the 4 top team, but, much, much better than one week ago. Im crazy to see the hungary updates and hopefuly those things not will be dowgrades.
From the FIA document before the weekend:
"Modified twist distribution of the wing elements
changing the front view shape."
"Changing the twist distribution of the wing modifies
the spanwise loading to improve the overall
performance of the wing and downstream
interactions."
AKA Make the Front wing Flex more and differently.

Such a shame Alonso felt fast for the first time in a while and team has to make a rookie mistake and ruin it. Oh well at least the car clearly improved. If Hungary package works the Alonso top 5 prediction in qualy might not be so far fetched.

Bah, they're all waiting until the end... for nothing. Lately in Q3 they are picking up bad habits. Not just AM. Although this time they could have done better with ALO.
The McLs fly in fast corners and the MBs run a lot. They seem more efficient than the Ferraris and even VER.
We are still unable to travel with our motor stepbrothers. So we will have to keep going around the bottom of the car and the front and rear wings. And the mysteries about "reverse" aeronautics: that instead of taking off, the damn car sticks very well to the ground. More or less.
Tomorrow I would like to see both cars in the top 10.
