Actually a little worried about long run pace for both mercs. Ham was up by about 0.2 on Russell but down on norris by 0.6. I don't know how representative that is from fp2. If Ver floor can be replaced...im sure best chance is a solid 3 and 4 tomorrow. If it rains...who knows.
More worried about a Russell train. Lewis stuck in his drs or behind him for the first stint which then allows Mclaren and Redbull to undercut easily. I felt like in Canada we never saw mercs true pace as Lewis was stuck for too long behind Alonso. we may see a repeat of that here. And of course Merc will never tell George to let him through in such circumstance. I feel they’re going to blow this one on strategy. Hope I’m wrong.
Considering Russell's race pace has been almost identical to Lewis since Monaco, I think Lewis needs to be more concerned about keeping up if he doesn't get ahead on the start.
What races have you been watching since Monaco? Hopefully you watched more carefully today. IT was rinse and repeat. As long as lewis has a healthy car George cannot live with him on Sunday. Live and learn bruh.

Can we just stop one day, and enjoy the win?

Seriously, two wins in a row and both times its just complaining about one of the drivers

He is still very special on Sundays. He took Lando to school in that last stint. It was an unbelievable drive.

I’ve said it all along. Ferrari know what they’ve signed, and Merc know what they’ve lost.

An incredible drive. Quite an emotional win really. 9 at Silverstone. 👏

Good to see him back on the top step.

George might have him on Saturday but he's still that guy come race day. Every call was on point as was tire management.

Gotta hand it to LH today- got his calls right. Set the car up well for Sunday, called the right moment for slicks, managed those softs well with no mistakes- all his experience came through there.

Congrats Merc fans. Hell of a development curve these past few weeks.

Like Toto said, fairytale moment for Lewis and Merc, first win in 3 years, does it at his home race and now holds the record for most wins at a single circuit at 9

Yeah, summed up nicely. I don’t know whether Ferrari get it together next yr, but I expect him to be bested by LEC on Sat, on Sun though is a completely different matter; LEC just can’t get it right.

Great race by HAM, never in doubt when he moved to the S; every single bit of that win was earned & not gifted.
Team ANTI-HYPE. Prove it, then I’ll anoint you.

I need to eat a MASSIVE slice of humble pie. That was vintage Hamilton.
“And that’s part of the game, is being able to be adaptive, and we’ve got this new car – I don’t know how it’s going to handle, hopefully she’s great.”
