This is a very good article: https://www.racefans.net/2024/07/09/how ... nailed-it/

Some twitter "recountings" carefully clipped the radio transcripts of Leclerc to present one picture, but the full transcripts gives a different one.
What do you mean? Full transcripts show the same thing - Charles was really struggling w the rears due to being behind Stroll for a long time, team told him heavy rain coming and lasting for 10 min, then it didn't come until later, race over.

Multiple reports about new td, but no guesses who it might be. Is Rory Byrne coming back full time ?

Hes to old for this.
Elliott sounds like a viable option because it's free, but Lewis would be against it.
And its really running out of options because from the teams cant get here that quickly, because of gardening.
Mb joke about Binotto its not a joke?

Let's wait and see, it will likely be a name we haven't heard yet(like last year when Serra was really only mentioned when everything was practically confirmed). I am curious as how Hungary will go for the car - there aren't a ton of high speed, but I'm hoping the medium speed don't cause an issue either, should let us use the Spain floor.

Side note, using different floors like they were rear wings is quite funny to me, unfortunately a huge blunder by the team

The picture is very clear. Communication wasn't good between the driver and the pitwall, which lead to a completely wrong call.

Everyone is at fault in this case.

It's Nugnes so caution is advised, but if translation is correct he said in this video that "it seems that the request for Cardile at Aston Martin was made by Adrian Newey himself".

Any italian speakers that could help confirm this? (time already selected)

This would be ironic for Ferrari if true...

Yes it says exactly that. I find it hard to believe that Newey didn't have anyone but Cardile to be with him, but who knows…

Ofc, bozzi's like 5th or 6th race. And adami has like 15+ years of race engineering experience plus worked with sainz since start.
This is normal

Perhaps Newey was impressed by the aerodynamics of the SF-24 and attributed credit to Cardile.

Once Newey decided he didn’t want to land at Ferrari, for whatever reason(s), he saw taking Cardile as a good opportunity to strengthen his future technical team, while hurting a rival.

If this is indeed how things transpired, I cannot help but wish Newey, Cardile, and the AMR F1 technical team, the absolute worst of luck while working there.

Or Nugnes did one of his specialities and made things up out of thin air. We'll see I guess.

"Ferrari: news roundup from @formu1a__uno via Twitch live:

- Vasseur did nothing to try to retain Enrico Cardile after the latter received an offer from Aston Martin. Ferrari has done nothing to retain Cardile, it's just the timing that leaves something to be desired.
- In recent weeks, Enrico Cardile had already been sidelined. For example, the desire to change the suspension for the long term didn't come from Cardile but from other people. And let's not forget that Loïc Serra, who is "gardening", is likely to be slipping in some information already.
- It's likely that an important name will be arriving soon, as the editors of @formu1a__uno editorial team is working on it. But for the moment, we don't have any more information.
- Since Vasseur arrived at Ferrari, there's been a lot of movement inside Maranello. Vasseur wants to draw on outside experience. There's never been so much movement, both in and out.
- Some mechanical corrections to the SF-24 are planned for Spa-Francorchamps. Interior elements such as new anti-roll bars, for example. Similar to Mercedes.
- Ferrari is expected to re-use the Barcelona package at Budapest. The track should be less prone to bouncing problems."

I wasn't inclined to give much thought to the report of a new and mysterious TD, but that's now three organizations in one day talking about it...

Either it holds weight, or they're all using the same wrong source. :D

This translator also said in the replies the impression they (journalists) got was that this person would indeed be joining as TD specifically. Additionally, they expect the announcement to be made over the summer break.
