Leclerc is right at being done with these incompetents frauds.
Such a talent wasted in the worst team in the world. Unreal. He was doing a tremendous race.

Lewis was vulnerable and they --- up.

To understand how wrong was this strategy look at where Sainz is
Charles is not done with the team. Stop creating stuff, please.

Well, at least something went right this weekend. The team needed it badly.
Not perfect by any means, but ok.

I happily took Sainz's lucked-into P3 in Austria, I'll do the same this weekend for Leclerc in P4. He desperately needed this morale boost and even though in both races positions were gained because of better cars making mistakes, any points are good points. Leclerc drove really well this race aside from a single minor error, just like Sainz did in Austria.

I don't think we'll be as competitive at Spa though, so they need to savor this feeling and use it to at least secure a P5 or something next weekend.

The strategy for Leclerc was terrible, he had the best stint on the Hards, then, switch to Mediums for 30 laps?. C'mon man.

The pace on the hards was very encouraging.

Lecrec had 2 laps younger tire than max and 7 laps to Hamilton and was fastest on the track.so easily he could ve extended the 2nd stint by another 4 laps...irrespective of it , 4th is the best possible...ferrari got lucky with vertaspan..now they can defend their strategy..

Nope it was not because Lewis was going to pit having a set of hard tyres and therefore unleash Verstappen who had much better pace.
Not an option to overtake Lewis on the track, watch Max, the only chance is through overcut or better yet pit.
What would have changed without that early pitstop? Charles was also behind Ham and Max. So the risk was well worth it, but unlucky Merc was responded.

Less optimistic take, Ferrari is back to where they were at Austria, sniffing at Mercedes.
Let's see if this package works on tracks with high speed corners.

LEC 2nd stint was gold, and his 3rd stint was masterful. Lost only 4-5s to Lewis on Hards while on Mediums in this track, did Ferrari not have enough hards?
SAI had a fairly anonymous race, should have at minimum caught up with VER to the end.

Clearly a much more balanced car now with the porpoising being under control. Terrific job from the team to solve this issue in such a short time. Now they can focus on bringing performance again.

Only brought 1 set of new hards to the race. I think Mercedes was the only top team to bring 2 sets of hards.

Otherwise, agreed on the drivers. LEC had a very good race. SAI was in management early and stayed there. I have a feeling his plan was to setup to qualify and use the positional advantage. Ruined that with the bad start.

Correct. It was only due to luck they finished P4.
With a good strategy P3 was possible but they --- up, as usual.

The strategy calls for LEC have been horrendous for so long it makes no sense at this point

Also HAM should be penalized, I really like him but that was moving under braking, totally unnecessary because VER was going to lock up out of the track. But clearly VER had softer newer tires and could brake later than HAM although still resulted in a divebomb, but HAM closed in and moved under braking.
