By the way the car is still super slow.
How do you define super slow? 2 tenths off McLaren and matched w Merc and Red Bull is super slow?

Not much to celebrate today really.

The only positive is that LEC had a semi-clean race.

I don’t even think it was 0.2 off. More like 0.1s. The sub optimal strategy played a role with LEC hard stint of 17 laps vs Max’s of 27 and the Hard tire was the best for Ferrari.

yea I am surprised that it was only .25 ish gap to Maclaren. Also, yesterday Sainz did mention that lower temps were not ideal i guess low temp issue still a thing?

Was this the plan C Leclerc wanted to do? IF yes, it was a poor one. The podium was possible if they had extended the hard stint for 7-8 laps more at least. He was in Verstappen's drs when he peeled to the pits and was faster than Hamilton atm.

I think they didn't expect Lewis to come in at the same time. Still, not ideal and we lost some time, but overall, we finally got a clean weekend and that's what we needed more than anything. Solid race, onto Spa now where we really see if we have this package fixed

No man, whatever happens Ferrari is crap and that's it. The fact they have so many issues right now and still made by far the biggest step in pace from 2023 race is irrelevant...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Fairly sure plan C would have been a one stopper, as Leclerc was happy with the tyres. If the strategy was for a short second stint they probably would have gone with another set of mediums.

I’m mainly ignoring this thread at this point. It’s just frustrating seeing the armchair experts whining day in day out.
It’s sad which state the thread or many other threads have turned into lately, but that’s what we’ve got now sadly.

I’m happy with Ferrari’s huge progress from last year and also their really quick reaction to solving the porpoising issue is a very good sign and shows the ability of the team.
I hope they keep it up and at the latest in 2026 Ferrari should be in a position to fight for titles.

More striking is how McLaren without updates, still remains a top 1 force, when rivals already bring more than one update (and at RB from the words of Max current was the most important this season)

Definitely impressive team for development in the last 2 years, Rob Marshall influence?

Shows you how important Newey was at RBR, ultimately hard to argue with the results.

Developing these cars is different than in the past as they are very front limited and become tricky to balance if you go for max downforce, porposing aside.

They struck gold with their Miami update, and I think there is only so much you can do based off of your mechanical platform. Red Bull can bring all the upgrades they want, but they lose so much time on kerbs... McLaren brought a whole new car, and they have figured out perfectly what this generation of car needs to be fast in any condition. Imo, the suspension/chassis seems to be the most important aspect of this point of the regs considering the aero gains are starting to diminish.

Ferrari: Frédéric Vasseur has confirmed to SkySportF1 the imminent arrival of several engineers.

- “Losing Cardile? For us, it's not a drama, everything is clear. We will make an announcement about the new organization after the summer vacations.”

- “We have a group of over 200 to 300 people working on this project. It's not just one person, it's not a drama. I always try to explain that the individuals are less important than the group. That's true when you hire someone and it's true when you lose them.”

- “How big is the new name? I've got a few five-letter names.”

btw Newey its five-letter name

FORZA FERRARI!
