They still need to understand the last package so better not adding other parts if they cannot extract the best out if it. Summer break they will work flat out for September. And I feel like at this stage the focus is on next car as Alonso said the goal for the rest of the season is to consolidate as 5th team.
BTW do you know if he will receive a penalty if they change the PU ?

Didnt watch fp1 but heard fernando complain about his engine.
Did not miss anything. Verstappen was on PEDs on Hards and Soft but long run was bad. Ferrari and Mercedes looked good. And yes, Alonso asked twice to check the engine but no feedback about it.
Just a conspiracy, but I have a feeling 4-5 races ago a lot of negative feedback regarding Stroll's performance and whether father can accept the lack of performance by him, and amount of consistent questioning when he should move aside for someone else ( based from journalists, fans, sponsors) what getting too much of a talking point. Based on history of this father son trying to find loopholes to take advantage their own personal gains. Makes me think there's something fishy going on with the current trend of Stroll bettering Alonso all of a sudden and can't be down to setup changes. I don't know could be he's getting much more simulator time that unaccounted for, hidden mode to lower engine performance of Fernando's engine or inferior chassis with a crack that was accidental during the process? these are all speculative but interesting.
What is going on with Fernando? He is more often outpaced by Stroll than not. This weekend, so far he is nowhere near, no matter which set they're on.
