Piquet GP to Buy Out BMW Sauber???

Just heard this rumor in commentry whilst watching the GP2 sprint race.

Seemingly Nelson Piquet Senior is in talks with Peter Sauber and BMW to buy out that team, meaning that Piquet GP will go from GP2 to F1 next year. Also, may be the only way that he can get a seat for his son to race in F1.

Think about it, Nelson Piquet is the only one to win a WDC with a BMW engine, why there could still be a relation there.

Surely WB could serve an opinion on that one?

This rumour first circulated days after Piquet was fired and BMW had announced their exit.

Adding to this rumor, i think EJ said in commentry that if Piquet GP took over BMW Sauber that the driver line up could quite posibly be Piquet/Senna as they are looking at the "all Brazilian" route for it.

Im shure there is plenty of milage in the rumor. But one thing id be saying to the Piquet camp if i were Renault, if you want a un-obstructed way into the sport, drop the allegations. That way Renault could have the last laugh, Piquet takes over a F1 team, then dosnt get into the sport, and then gets financially cripled.

NPj has not made any allegations, he has written an affidavit to assist a legal inquiry. Mike Lawrence (pitpass) has the opinion that NPj has some other hard evidence to provide to the WMSC Hearing, otherwise he would not have been granted immunity for just an affidavit.
