In all probability, there is already some gardening leave in Newey's contract terms. He's terminating a contract early. There was speculation that RB would be willing to waive that in lieu of some compensation. I didn't read the whole article, but he is right, Newey won't be enough. They desperately need their wind tunnel and manufacturing plant to be operational.
