Charles explained that he didn't think Piastri would be able to brake that deep with the grip of the hards and that he also thought he'd be able to get him back with management, etc.
For the second time this year, Charles lets Oscar divebomb himself, this needs to be fixed.

Would be nice to see comparison from Leclerc’s and Norris’ rear cam.

Norris should be the same, they were running the same rear wing from FP2 and onwards (IIRC).

The laps being compared before were the fastest laps of the race for each driver and Oscar had DRS on that lap from a lapped Sauber. If you compare "normal" laps before it, the speed is pretty much the same.

As for Leclerc, no he doesn't have that. All flaps go down slightly under load, but that's normal. The interesting thing we haven't seen before is the twisting of the flap edges which open up the DRS opening slightly more than it would be normally.

Again, it is not so simple. McLaren were 5kph faster in the straight and had insane grip early on with the hard - they somehow found temp very quickly which I think Charles didn't predict(and fairly enough considering how much he struggled with warmup). The P2 came from the decision to stay out another lap, not the divebomb

The FIA need to revise all the testing rules. This is a massive advantage and against the regulations for sure. It could also be dangerous.

On the left you don't have a comparison between Norris and Oscar, it just shows what was happening at low speed vs high speed.

And as I mentioned, the speed difference of their fastest laps (what's shown in the right) is because Oscar had DRS on his fastest lap :

Piastri didn't have the DRS in that lap or the effect is so small that they don't go over 330 km/h?

While a disappointing end result with Leclerc not winning and Sainz dropping good points, the positive thing for me is that the supposed fastest car "McLaren", was nowhere near the fastest, actually of the 4 front cars, Piastri, Leclerc, Perez & Sainz, Piastri was the slowest and by a decent chunk, all 3 cars behind him were a good bit quicker, unfortunately not quite quick enough to make the pass but it was clear that Piastri was holding them all up just based on Sainz who was well adrift and closed the gap.

I wouldn't say Piastri was the slowest but Ferrari were definitely quick, you can't stay in DRS for 30 some laps here without being at least as quick as the other car
