McLaren is a very flexible car and both drivers are capable of great laps in Q3. McLaren 1-2 is far more likely than Ferari 1-2, I don't think people should be so bullish. Outright pace is encouraging for Ferrari and 2025 car development, the biggest performance indicator will be keeping up with McL in Austin. If Ferrari manages that, it's gonna be a huge boost for next season
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

McLaren is very quick. Going to be tough.
Ferrari is losing pace to Mclaren in S3.
And it's in kerb riding, especially the quick right-left before the mini-straight that leads to the final two left hand high speed corners. So losing time through those kerbs => affects the speed buildup through the straight, through the two high speed corners, to the start/finish line.

Q3 is going to be very tight indeed.

Race pace on med tire looks solid so if a Ferrari leads on lap 2 there is a very good chance of a win here I think

As long as Ferrari doesn't let themselves be undercut...

Sky IT, coming out of the Ferrari briefing:

Leclerc is extremely confident this weekend, he's very very happy with the car today. He doesn't want to change anything. The only thing he wasn't pleased about was his own FP2 lap, so he fully believes there's more on the table tomorrow. The car isn't the limiting factor, only himself.
=D> Love it when Leclerc is confident. Let's get that extra tenth for tomorrow! If he can ride that one kerb at the end, that should make up quite a bit of time. Out of the entire grid, I only saw Norris do it.

Shame about Sainz struggling with the balance, hopefully they can solve that tonight.

Who would have thought the flexi wing was an advantage?

Good job Ferrari for coming here with a growing car.

But this car was always going to be fast around here, no?

LEC was getting frequent flyer miles with his +wing requests in each race like all the last ones where he did great. Today he doesn’t need anything, that’s new.

if you look at Monza fresh smooth track, there are some high and mid speed corner, and the car behaved well.. here also there some high speed corner like the last one, the car was stable.. I am actually quite hopeful about Cota..

That’s very true.

I don’t think they changed the car much k. Baku either so it could just be something to do with the new floor..

Asking for FW adjustments while changing tyres is quite normal. The issue is when the driver start asking significant FW changes while doing the same runs.

Barring incidents, it looks like a very easy win for Ferrari to me, I don't see McLaren getting anywhere near them...
Wow really? Misguided I feel.

Meanwhile Lando: I did a good lap ... Charles usually performs well on city circuits - in Monaco and Baku we saw what he can do. And I think he's happy with his lap too - if he wasn't, I'd have cause for alarm ahead of qualifying tomorrow!

Usually I prefer to show not the highest speeds at the beginning of the weekend, to then, already on Saturday, to increase, but now I have a feeling that especially increase will not be possible.

Charles got +2 FW twice when doing double cools. I can not remember if it was all FP2 or one in FP1, one in FP2.
