You have got to acknowledge the driver when you see performances like this. He pushed that car to the limit and it showed. Amazing result.
Let's see how the race pans out tomorrow.

P2 is as good as pole for this car on this track.

Going to be a interesting run down to Turn 1 tomorrow.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Max has that front end bite back. He can use his magic then, remember his 2018 lap here. But didnt see that coming. Tomorrow I dont know what to expect.

pray for some rain and wet track start. this would be a chance to get a better getaway (right rubbered side will become more slippery in wet, as we saw in 2017 and even a win, who known. In dry it should be an easy win for Lando.

Stellar drive by Max, and good to see they seem to be on the right track to unlock pace again.

I don't know what the race pace of Mercedes will be, but they'll have two behind so may try undercut/overcut on Max.

Not sure which weather provider iPhone uses, but that one just shows tomorrow as cloudy. Very low chance of precipitation around 6PM-ish but other than that, no chance of rain at all.

Could change again cause weather predictions do funny things sometimes, but that’s how it looks like for the moment.

checked the telemetry, Max loses almost 2 tenths with that lift in first Q3 run, he really could have had a snatch to pole, incredible to think here and after yesterday

I also have a feeling Lando did not do a good lap though

Max first Q3 lap was 1:29.5 if he didn't lift off. We can only guess what pace was there in that Mclaren. 29.2s at very least I guess, given 29.6 in practice and piastri 29.6 lap in Q2.

Verstappen to Erik van Haren:

"
I don't want to say the car was perfect, but it was certainly better to drive. It's been a long time since I felt so good in the car. And on this circuit too. That gives us hope for the upcoming races."
