Actually you never really know what would happen. Norris might have found even more time on the second sector than his first try. It was much closer this time.
If Lando tomorrow gets 1st place in that first corner then he will have the upper hand in clear air.
Max definitely would have had that. I think he was 2 tenths up before he had to abort.
He was 0.172 on that first sector just like his first run but nothing suggests he would definately gotten that as he lost a lot of time in his first try on sector 2 and 3 and he had a similar time on sector 1.

Max would have had provisional pole on the first lap too had he not messed up T19.
Anyway, car is not good around here. They are (probably) bottoming out on the first sector :
Still debatable. Many things happening during a lap. Who's to say that Max wouldn't have a snap of oversteer? There's a huge distance about what would happen and what actually happened. Would you expect George crashing?

We shall see in 3 hours if the team manages to find a more ideal set up cause I notice that Mclaren doesn't find the ideal set up immediately. Unless though we are very weak at Austin.

So quick question. Are we still with the Miami upgrade package going with tweaks here and there?
The base of the upgrades I think are Miami, but with bits refined and added, Zak said they’re looking at hundreds and thousandth's in lap time with new upgrades now, likely hitting their peak for the season like most teams
